Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Batter Up
It is time for the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop where you can hop through and see all the alternates that everyone has made using the May Batter Up! kit! We are a group of Demonstrators who enjoy this kit and enjoy sharing all the possibilities for each kit! If you are coming from Dana Sullivan, thank you for hopping on through the group! Please continue hopping and gathering all kinds of great ideas!
For this kit, I knew I had to make a scrapbook page! My son, Kitar, played baseball from age 5 starting in T-ball all the way up through age 15 when he finished up here in Montana with Babe Ruth. Sadly, there is no baseball in the High Schools in this state, so he was in a league and aged out. Now he umps for the little kids and really enjoys it! I am not all caught up with his Baseball album so I chose to make a page with this kit! I even had the perfect colored jersey to match the colors in the kit!
I pulled in a sheet of 12×12 Real Red cardstock and used Pacific Blue and Basic white as well. I used the Homeplate, bats, and the baseball from the kit and added Stitched Stars and a Stitched Rectangle. I also used the stamps from the kit! Once I figured out the layout, I stamped the bat, cap, and All Star stamps all over the page in Real Red ink to give it a background.
I’m quite pleased with how this turned out! I did it Monday morning during Paper Pumpkin Playdate. It was my longest Live by far (about an hour)! You can catch it HERE if you want to see from beginning to end how it all came together!
That is it for me today! Please keep on hopping through by going to see what Janey Backer created for you!

LOVE the scrapbook layout! Well done! 🙂
Thank you, Dana! I am attempting to use more stamping in my scrapbooking! Paper Pumpkin has been a great help with that!
Great scrapbook page – so colorful and fun.
Thank you, Mary! I got lucky that the colors matched his team that year! He was Orange more often than not. 🙁
Great scrapbook page – colorful and fun!
Super fun! That is so cool he still loves baseball!
Thank you! Yes, he still loves it…just now from the other side of the plate. 😉
Love this scrapbook page idea! So perfect for my sisters memory book I want to get started on soon!
Thank you, Deb! Oh, what a great way to honor her!
This kit is PERFECT for that scrapbook page!! Bright and fun!
Thankyou, Cheryl! It really was calling for a scrapbook page since he had played!
A great page for those special photos! My middle son played baseball from a young age all the way through University (scholarship). It was so much fun to watch!
Thank you, Elizabeth! That had been his plan when he was 5 and started T-ball. However, since Montana doesn’t have it in the schools, that plan changed. He doesn’t like the traveling team system they have here. Now he umps and enjoys that…so I still get to watch baseball and watch him. Kinda weird to be silently rooting for the Umpire! 🙂
Love this fun scrapbook page!
Thank you, Terri!
how fun! I like how you did the monochrome stamping on the background sheet.
Thank you! I appreciate your words!
